Biography
Graduated from the Faculty of Graphic Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow, where she received her diploma in 1972. In printmaking she most often uses metal graphic techniques (etching, aquatint, splatter) she also practices lithography. In 1985, she led a printmaking workshop at the Academy of Fine Arts in Reykjavik. From 1986 to 1990, she headed the Gallery of the Stu Theater in Cracow. She has had individual exhibitions at home and abroad, and participated in dozens of group exhibitions of graphics. In 1995, she won the Grand Prix - The Masters of Graphic Art - at the Third International Biennial of Graphic Arts in Gyor, Hungary. In 2009, she was awarded the W. Wojtkiewicz Prize of the Association of Polish Artists for her exhibition at Jan Fejkiel Gallery entitled Sitting. Interview with S.W.
The artist has so far had five solo exhibitions at Jan Fejkiel Gallery. She has also participated in group shows organized by the gallery, including : Stone, Metal , Wood, Computer, Cracow Expo Center 1994; Element and method , Galerie de la C.G.E.R, Liege 1996, Manggha Center, Cracow 1997; Polish printmakers - French poets, Galerie des Franciscains, St. Nazaire, 1995,1999; Mondo Cane, JFG, Cracow 2001, BWA, Kielce 2002; Beyond the passe-partout.
