Daniel Schintone is an interesting French artist: painter, draughtsman , Professor at the School of Fine Arts in Toulouse. His style is figurative. The works often feature female motifs, but also military uniforms - Schintone was, among other things, "peintre officiel" of the French Army, which influenced the subject matter of his works.
His work shows a strong, declared fascination with the art of the Far East, especially the compositional solutions of Japanese prints.
He often created genre scenes and nudes, and women were his favorite subject.
He was distinguished by his simplified facial features and flat colors in some works, which allowed him to bring out the expression of gestures.
In 1941 he was awarded the first prize of the city of Toulouse.
The framing shown in the visuals is for illustrative purposes only and does not constitute a commercial offer.
