* Ink drawing, underpainted with watercolor, on a sheet measuring 24.8 x 17.4 cm. The king sits on a throne, with precious stones scattered before him. The drawing is unsigned; on the reverse side is a handwritten note regarding the drawing’s intended use and the artist (his surname is written as “Hass”). The sheet is torn and repaired with adhesive; there are creases and folds in the paper.
W. Has(1925–2000)—film director, screenwriter, and producer; lecturer and rector of the State Higher School of Film in Łódź. During and after the war, he studied at the Kraków School of Applied Arts and the Academy of Fine Arts. He occasionally worked as an illustrator (for example, he illustrated J. Hoesick-Hendrichowa’s *Arabian Fairy Tale*, Kraków 1943).
