The face is shown in an exaggerated manner - with an elongated nose, a clearly marked eyebrow arch and a sharp chin line. The hair is short, combed back, marked with tight lines. The figure is dressed in a jacket and shirt with a tie, framed schematically. Economical composition, concentrated on the head and upper torso. The signature "JOTES" is visible in the lower right part.

Jerzy Szwajcer, alias Jotes (born May 13, 1892 in Warsaw, died September 15, 1967 there) - Polish caricaturist, cartoonist, journalist. He was one of the most recognizable figures of Polish interwar caricature. The artist was mainly active in Warsaw. Szwajcer worked with many leading press titles, publishing satirical drawings, portraits and caricatures of well-known public figures. His works appeared in popular satirical and illustrated magazines, among others. He created both political caricatures and portraits of people of culture - actors, writers or musicians. Today, his works are an important testimony to the artistic and social life of the Second Republic. Jerzy Szwajcer (Jotes) is counted among the most outstanding Polish caricaturists of the 20th century.
