Biography
From 1966 to 1972 she studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow at the Faculty of Interior Design. From 1972, she studied for three years at the State Higher School of Fine Arts in Poznań at the Faculty of Graphic Arts, and from 1985 to 1990 she studied at the Skolan Forum Graphic Arts in Malmö, Sweden. In her art she combines the media of printmaking, photography and painting. She is also the creator of numerous installations and video works. The artist is known as a master of moving, stylized portraits, which she subjects to various transformations. In her work, she problematizes issues of memory, decay and disappearance, as well as her own Polish-Jewish identity.
