Biography
In 1973, he graduated from the Vilnius Academy of Fine Arts, and has lived in Poland since 1980. Painter, printmaker, and draftsman. He creates posters, book illustrations (especially for children’s stories), bookplates, set designs, installations and spatial compositions, masks, and paratheatrical performances. His figurative art is characterized by a surrealist atmosphere with touches of irony and the grotesque. He employs various media—including gouache, oil, and pastels—and utilizes a variety of printmaking techniques.
