Biography
He initially studied at the Higher School of Music in Lublin. He then attended the Department of Interior Design and Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, graduating in 1954 and 1959. He worked at the Institute of Industrial Design, and since 1973 has headed the Department of Experimental Textiles at the Faculty of Painting. In 1983, he was appointed professor. At the same time, he worked at the Faculty of Art and Pedagogy at Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń and at the Higher School of Applied Arts in Poznań. He has exhibited his work numerous times both in Poland and abroad, including at the 1st–4th International Textile Biennales in Lausanne (1962–1973), the 8th and 9th São Paulo Art Biennales (1965 and 1971).
