A very rare variety not described in Grzegorz Romańczyk's reference catalog.
It is distinguished by the abbreviated form of the denomination— GROSS instead of GROSSVS.
Throughout the entire catalog of Sigismund I’s groszy, the aforementioned author noted only one variety with this inscription among all the Elbląg groszy issues. It was struck with precisely this reverse die.
In combination with an obverse bearing a title ending in PRV— he had never seen such a variety before!
