Hungary Military Long Service Medal of Merit 10 Years 1965

Circular gilt bronze medal with loop for ribbon suspension; the face with the figure ‘10’, crossed rifles below, the arms of the People’s Republic above, all within a circular laurel wreath; the reverse inscribed ‘HONVÉDELMI ÉRDEMÉREM’ (Military Merit Award); on original trifold ribbon. The medal was instituted on 19 October 1965, with awards for 10 years’ service and every five years thereafter up to 40 years, for long and faithful service in the Hungarian armed forces.
