Stanislaw KOCHANOWSKI

Polish painter and Roman philologist. Graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow and Romance philology at the Jagiellonian University. He exhibited his works from 1897-1898 with TPSP in Cracow. In 1915 he enlisted in the Legions. After the restoration of independence, being a rittmeister, he took part in the battles for Lviv, where he later settled. He was a teacher at the State School of Economics and Commerce, and taught at the Academy of Foreign Trade. He painted landscapes, vedutas and genre scenes.
