Biography
Agata Kus works in painting, drawing, ceramics, and video. She is a graduate and holds a Ph.D. from the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków. In 2012, she defended her diploma thesis in the studio of Prof. Leszek Misiak, and in 2018, she earned her Ph.D. She has received numerous awards and fellowships. She is a laureate of the WRO 2015 International Media Art Biennale in Wrocław. In 2017, she was nominated for the “Spojrzenia” Award presented by Deutsche Bank and Zachęta. In 2011 and 2018, she was a finalist for the Vordemberge-Gildewart Foundation Award. In 2021, she took first place in the “Kompas Młodej Sztuki” ranking published in *Rzeczpospolita*. Her works are included in public collections, including those of the National Museum in Gdańsk, the MOCAK Museum of Contemporary Art in Kraków, and the Bunkier Sztuki Gallery, as well as in numerous private collections in Poland and abroad.
