Works on paper from the 1960s are an essential part of Lenica's oeuvre, allowing one to trace his way of building an abstract painting language. They offer an opportunity to enter the realm of Tashism and Polish postwar abstraction while maintaining a more intimate format. The composition is part of the artist's series of painting experiments and accentuates his interest in spontaneous gesture, the rhythm of lines and the characteristically built tension between patches of color. The object's title, which also appears with a numbered designation next to his other works, reflects well Lenica's openness to further modes of artistic expression.
