Anna MISZALSKA-GĄSIENICA
b. 1962
Graduate of the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts (1986), where she studied in the studios of Prof. Ludwik Maciąg, Stefan Gierowski, Roman Artymowski and Wieslaw Kruczkowski. Her oeuvre includes oil paintings (landscapes, flowers, portraits), as well as series of gouaches and pastels presented at 74 solo shows at home and abroad. The object of interest and creative inspiration in her works is primarily the diverse landscape of the various geographical regions of Poland, its atmosphere, discreet beauty, variability associated with the seasons of the day and year. The paintings bear the stigma of realistic predilections and the desire to transpose the chosen motif into the language of painterly means of expression. Emotions and emotions are translated here into colors and forms, which, without losing their documentary value, become a carrier of truth about the closely observed world.
