Prof. ADAM WSIOŁKOWSKI Born in 1949 in Cracow, Poland. After graduating in painting from the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow in 1973, he became its teacher, obtaining the title of professor in 1992; in 2008-2012 he was the rector of his university. In 1981/82 he stayed in New York on a six-month scholarship from the Kosciuszko Foundation.
He works in painting, drawing and printmaking. He participated in about 200 exhibitions in many countries of the world, had more than 70 solo exhibitions in Krakow, Warsaw, Poznan, Wroclaw, New York, Paris, Prague, Nuremberg and Kyiv, among others. Winner of many awards, including the Prize of the Minister of Culture and Art of the Republic of Poland (twice), the Prize of the City of Krakow, the Prize of the Malopolska Region , "Ars Ouaerendi", the Gold Medal , "Meritorious for Culture - Gloria Artis"; Knight of the Cross of the Order of Rebirth of Poland (2013). Works in the collections of, among others: National Museums in Krakow, Warsaw, Poznan, Lublin and Kielce; District Museums in Torun, Bydgoszcz and Tarnow; Museum of Krakow; Jagiellonian University Museum; Chelm Museum; Czestochowa Museum; North Mazovian Museum in Lomza; BWA Gallery in Poznan, Sieradz and Bialystok; The New York Public Library; Mondriaanhuis Museum in Amersfoort, Netherlands; Antonio Perez Foundation Museum in Cuenca, Spain.
He is the faithful master of the rough-haired dachshund Felix the Third.
In 2017 he published a volume of memoirs entitled. , "My Academy.
