Stanislaw DAWSKI (1905-1990).
Studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. He received his diploma in 1939 in the studio of F. S. Kowarski and S. Ostoi-Chrostowski. From 1945, for the next 25 years, he was associated with the Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw, where he was professor and rector. He worked in printmaking, painting, ceramic and glass sculpture. He exhibited his works at home and abroad, including in London, Sofia, Prague, Vienna, Berlin, Budapest, Tel-Aviv and Toronto. He was the recipient of many awards and prizes, among others: Art Prize of the City of Wroclaw, Art Prize of the Provincial National Council, received medals of the Society of Friends of Fine Arts and also a medal at the 4th International Biennial of Exlibris in Malbork.
