Biography
The artist was born in Vilnius, where he studied at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Stefan Batory University under Tymon Niesiolowski, among others. Since 1945 he lived in Gdansk. In 1950-53 he taught at the State Higher School of Fine Arts in Gdansk, and from 1951 was a professor at the school. He created landscapes, compositions and still lifes. Frequent motifs in his work were views of ports and seaside landscapes, including industrial ones.
