Initially took drawing lessons while attending middle school. He studied
He continued at the Warsaw School of Decorative Arts and Painting under the direction of
E. Butrymowicz. In 1941-42 he studied in Moscow. He designed posters,
painted paintings on the subject of war. After returning to Poland in 1950-52 he was a
professor at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts. In the following years he completely
devoted himself to painting. He traveled extensively, including to Italy, France, the United States
United States - during that time he created landscapes and vedutas of many visited cities.
The presented work, painted with expressive texture of paint, is an excellent example of Zakrzewski's
of Zakrzewski's mature painting.
