About the Author:
Wiktor Kabac graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, majoring in painting in the studio of Stanisław Borysowski. He is a member of the Association of Polish Artists. The main theme of his works is Bialowieza Forest. Iconographic realizations, among others, in the Holy Spirit Church in Bialystok and the Holy Trinity Sobor in Hajnówka. He is one of the founders of the Society for the Protection of Landscape, and lives on the edge of Hajnówka. He is three minutes away from the Pushcha. On the other side of the Forest, near Siemianowka, he built himself a dugout. There he and his wife spend the summer and ride their bicycles through the forest. He has traversed the Pushcha from near Czeremcha to Bondary, that is, from the south to its northern end. The Museum of Belarusian Culture in Hajnówka has his exhibition dedicated to the crime in Kuropaty.
