Witold Podgórski’s painting is an intriguing dialogue between the classical and the modern.

What immediately catches the eye is the bold use of color. The artist is not afraid of strong and controversial color combinations. The light on the canvas is not natural—it seems to emanate from the objects themselves, which gives the composition an extraordinary dynamism. The painting literally “comes alive on the wall.”
