Its works are unique, created from a shared important ideology and handmade. We all remember the rise of the yuppie figure, the young entrepreneur between the ages of 25 and 35, which originated in the mid-1980s when many university graduates from Yale, Harvard, or Princeton pursued the dream of becoming wealthy quickly in New York City, particularly in Manhattan. These places, during the Republican presidency of Ronald Reagan, had reached a high level of prosperity and promised much for those who invested and worked in the stock market. Many of these individuals frequented exclusive restaurants and nightclubs, such as the famous Studio 54 in Manhattan, worked in the skyscrapers of downtown New York, and often attended parties organized by their colleagues, actors, and sometimes even real estate mogul Donald Trump, the future American president. It was common among them to use cocaine for leisure, dress in expensive designer clothing from Armani and Versace, and buy paintings by artist Jean-Michel Basquiat.Typical American yuppies of the 1980s lived in apartments furnished with monochromatic tones, featuring white and black leather armchairs and sofas with chrome steel details. The music they listened to included Duran Duran, The Blow Monkeys, Huey Lewis and The News, Prince, and Cyndi Lauper. There are countless film references, and in this context, one cannot forget John Carpenter's "They Live" (1988) starring Roddy Piper, Keith David, and Meg Foster, which tells the story of Reagan-era yuppies in a horror/dystopian manner, or "American Psycho" (2000) directed by Mary Harron and featuring Christian Bale, Willem Dafoe, and Jared Leto. The cultural and artistic ambition of the collective could also be limited to evoking an object with a well-defined historicization, a named, numbered, dated, and signed document by the actors of this speculative and thriving finance, which, even with this reading alone, could only acquire value as a contemporary work.Indeed, behind the arrangement, much more emerges, and the object of analysis is not the object itself but the relationship between man and title.Machiavelli identified in man two binary and opposing urges: the need for security and greed. Man is a fugitive of dangers but covetous of gains.
