"All Quiet on the Western Front" is a 2022 German war drama directed by Edward Berger, which is an adaptation of Erich Maria Remarque's classic novel. The film tells the story of the brutal reality of World War I from the perspective of young German soldiers.
The plot focuses on the fate of Paul Bäumer, a teenage volunteer who, together with his friends, goes to the front with enthusiasm and patriotic ideals. Soon the war reveals its cruel face, and the heroes have to face a constant struggle for survival, the death of comrades and the senseless brutality of the conflict.
