In the pre-denomination period, various forms of money denomination were considered. Many different kinds of attempts were made. One of them was the idea that existing stocks of original banknotes, reprinted making changes in appearance. Such reprints were introduced by many countries in the East during their denominations. Such projects were carried out by the Money Design Studio in Lviv. Another idea was to paste holograms on banknote stocks, and Janusz Lucow has such attempts in his collection, while several countries decided to use this form. In Poland, as a last resort, it was decided to print new money designs. One of the most interesting sample banknotes reprinted from the pre-denomination era are very rare banknotes with Hanna Gronkiewicz-Waltz, who was then president of the NBP. The studio took advantage of the NBP's anniversary, while the denomination was changed to 5Z£ on the back. A rarity for the best collections of banknotes of the Third Republic.
