Teodor GROTT (1884-1972). Painter, student of the Cracow Academy of Fine Arts in the studios of Cynk and Wyczółkowski, who considered him his successor. He continued his studies in Paris, London and Italy. He traveled in Ukraine in the footsteps of Wyczółkowski and Stanislawski, taking up folk themes and painting local landscapes. He most often used watercolor, creating portraits, still lifes, numerous depictions of flowers and landscapes. He designed kilims for the factory he ran with his wife. He was an honorary member of TPSP in Krakow, where he exhibited paintings as early as 1910. His works, i.e. "Portrait of his wife," are in the National Museum in Cracow.
