Certificate for the Warsaw Uprising Cross, awarded posthumously on December 13, 1989, to Antoni Siemianowski.
Antoni Siemianowski, alias “Nunek,” was born on October 10, 1923, in Brest-on-the-Bug, the son of Edward and Helena. During the Warsaw Uprising, he served as a rifleman in the Home Army, fighting in the Northern Downtown area. He was assigned to the 5th Company of the 2nd Battalion “Lech Grzybowski,” which was part of the “Chrobry II” group. He fell in battle on Pańska Street on August 11, 1944.
