Jerzy Faczyński—painter, architect, and poet. He was born in 1917 in Rykowe, Ukraine, and died in 1994 in Liverpool. In 1936, he began his studies at the Faculty of Architecture at the Warsaw University of Technology. During World War II, he served on the Hungarian front and later in the Polish Air Force in Great Britain. After the war, he settled in Liverpool, where he worked as an architect and created drawings, prints, watercolors, oil paintings, stained-glass windows, and woodcuts.
