The roots of this series can be traced back to the past. During the painting plein-air in Dluzew after the first year of study, when the artist focused on color, especially pure and synthetic color. This series is an ideological continuation of that period, enriched by the experience of many years. Markuszewski aims to free abstraction from abstraction and flatter his artistic urges. The artist explores how to shape color and form in isolation from tradition.

Artist Description:

Leszek Markuszewski - graduated from the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw from 2003 to 2008. He received his diploma in 2009 in the painting studio of Prof. Mark Sapetto. He did an annex to the diploma in artistic textiles in the studio of Prof. Dorota Grynczel. Leszek is a Renaissance Man. He works in painting, visual art, conceptual art, design, architecture and art theory. Since 2022, he has been steadily exhibiting and presenting his latest visual art, as well as educational and social activities for the residents of Milanowek in the new premises of the La Galeria project.
