In 1995, during the Salon Comparisons in Paris, Dan Jacobson and a few friends founded the company of the "macro-realist" group, of which he became the leader. Dan Jacobson organized the unprecedented exhibition "Imagine the Olympic Games in Paris" at the Galerie d'Art du Vexin in March 2024, where he has the status of "Permanent Resident Artist."
The exhibition, the fruit of five years of preparation, delights the public with its spectacular fusion of sports, art and culture, becoming a flagship event on the French and international art landscape.
Dan Jacobson stands out for his unique and unusual approach to art, exploring a variety of subjects, from marine life to the vibrant Parisian scene, including poetic visions of everyday life. His works, characterized by attention to detail and narrative richness, occupy a prominent place in private collections and museums around the world. Practices of macro-realism change, shake up norms starting with a real fact, derived from its logic: "everything is as far as it can go."
About the offered painting at the Art Gallery - "Fifth Dimension" titled. "Cultural Platform."
The canvas he created depicts the Amiens Cathedral "cultural platform" treated in a macro-realist style. Imaginary realist movement, deviating from present, past or future time between two worlds that meet, thus creating a believable virtuality. Physically, anything is possible, specifically the dream prevails over reality. Maximalism brings modern creativity fed by the heritage of our ancient Masters.
