Biography
Born in Buenos Aires to a family of European immigrants. Since childhood he showed artistic talent, he began his creative path by studying the old masters - Durer, Rembrandt or Hans Holbein, and later succumbed to the fascination of Impressionism and Cubism. From the second half of the 1950s, he developed his interest in abstract art, venturing into optical illusion and generative art. His sketchy works, built with hundreds of algorithm-determined lines, are reminiscent of the mathematical diagrams of Italian mathematician Leonardo Fibonacci, although, with the addition of an element of randomness, the multiplied spirals he paints reach a much higher degree of complication. In 1986, the artist was honored for his work by the Organization of American States for his outstanding contribution to the development of modern art in Latin America.
