oil on canvas, 40,00 x 30,00 cm
Born in 1983 in Urzędów. Graduated from the Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow, Faculty of Painting. Diploma under Prof. Leszek Misiak in 2011, in which he created the figure of an artist he invented - Bruno Lark (1901-1936). He is a co-founder of the "Roboczogodzina" collective. In his art one can find inspiration from the 20th century avant-garde, as well as themes taken from the history of art: from the Middle Ages to the present day and pop culture. He creates collages and objects. He is fascinated by the interior, the frame and the fragment, which are the building blocks of new compositions of his own, individually imagined and full of precise realism. In his latest works, Michal Chudzicki recalls places - he looks into them and lets stories, events and memories pour out. The place evokes former and non former people , stories possible and impossible. There is no room for emptiness in a memory, thought or dream. Multiform compositions are built in a ''collage'' way. For each composition dozens of sketches are created, which change their place, their size and perspective while working on the painting. In his works he uses photos from the Internet, old newspapers, and his own archive.
