Medal for Service to the War Veterans Association from a set of memorabilia of Ryszard Jaszkin.
Ryszard Jaszkin a.k.a. "Tarzan" born on March 24, 1926 in Lowicz. Student of the State Middle and High School in Lowicz. On January 1, 1940 he joined the Grey Ranks, "Łyska" District. On September 23, 1944 he was incarcerated in the Żabików Penal and Investigation Camp, then from December 4, 1944 he was transferred to the Gross-Rosen camp and on March 5 he was transferred to the Buchenwald camp. After the war he was promoted twice, in 1996 to the rank of platoon sergeant and in 2000 to the rank of second lieutenant.
