French saber model 1829, intended for mounted artillerymen, produced in the middle of the 19th century. This model was introduced as the standard equipment of the artillery units of the French army and is characterized by a robust construction suitable for both combat and service purposes.The blade is curved, single-edged with a full spine and a longitudinal groove, typical of French military sabers of this era. The brass handle with a single trigger provides a firm grip, while the buttstock is massive and ensures the weapon's balance. The handle bar is stamped with acceptance marks, the crossbar is marked "109A" and the underside of the crossbar is marked "G 33"
