Rare rococo commode clock with calendar and chimes

Height: 58 cm.

The case in wood, painted brown-gold, the front door glazed. The rectangular case on wide, sweeping rococo feet, frames with latticework, carved foliage running up the sides, crowning in the form of C-arches and asymmetrical foliage above a tail gable. Box side openings glazed. Front plate in engraved, chased brass with corner applications, silvered chapter ring, with Roman hours and Arabic minutes, the hands blued. Below the XII opening with moving pendulum disk. Date display above the VI, at the top two setting hands for strike and movement, in between a small round enamel picture with "Adoration of the Shepherds". Back plate with rocaille engraving. Pendulum on lever movement. Roller for the musical movement with approx. ten bells. Chain-wound, inscribed In the dial three key entries, key missing. Chain unhooked, out of order, in need of repair.
