The most important (next to Marian Mokwa) contemporary Polish marine painter studied at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts under Leon Wyczółkowski and Władysław Skoczylas, in the interwar period he was associated with the Coast (he painted motifs from the Hel Peninsula, Karwi, Jastrzębia Góra, Sopot, Gdańsk, organized summer plein-air events), after the war he settled in Sopot, exhibited on several continents, due to the painting virtuosity and decorativeness, Eugeniusz Dzierżencki's works have found their way into numerous collections not only in Poland. On the binding (27x31.5 cm) there is a metal plate: "Philatelic Exhibition "Bydgoszcz 64"" - award of P. Z. F. in Szczecin".
