Studied in the atelier of W. Jackiewicz at the State Higher School of Fine Arts in Gdansk and at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow in the atelier of J. Joniak. He received his diploma in 1981. Portraits of loved ones, self-portraits as well as landscapes and still lifes are frequent subjects of his works. He often uses a spatula to lay down paint, or squeezes it straight from the tube. His carefully considered painting is both expressive and traditional in its choice of subjects. He is also involved in drawing.
