Netherlands, Ducat 1729 - Utrecht. Double struck.
On February 3, 1735, shortly after its departure, the Vliegent Hert ran aground on a sandbank. In 1981, the ship was located, resulting in the recovery of 2000 ducats and 5000 silver reales. Presented here is a uncirculated specimen of a 1729 ducat recovered from the shipwreck, accompanied by a certificate of authenticity and graded MS65. Date error on holder (1711 should be 1729)
