Eloïse Dufour (b. 1999), Untitled, 2021

Born in 1999 in Switzerland, she graduated from compulsory school in 2014, and a year later began art preparatory classes at the Centre d'Enseignement Professionnel of Vevey (CEPV). She then continued her education by studying for a year at Têtard, a private art school in Lausanne, where she experimented with newly learned artistic techniques under the guidance of Swiss artists. It was then that she first began working with acrylic paint and canvas.
In 2017, she began studying "Ceramics" at CEPV, during which she spent four years gaining comprehensive knowledge, exploring the craft; from working on the potter's wheel to forming vases, creating sculptures and glazing. Meanwhile, she continued to develop her skills in painting.

After graduating, she boldly experiments with geometric forms in her work, playing with colors and the spatial depth of her works. She believes that paintings lead a life of their own, transcending the rigid confines of museum exhibitions. She herself reuses her own paintings in photographic projects, set designs and art installations, thus giving them not one, but many lives.
She is currently working with a Polish artist and designer in Warsaw, continuing her work in ceramics, painting, photography and set design.
