Inscribed "Judith" on the base, stamp mark with handwritten signature "Fr. Gold." and embossed stamp numbers on the reverse.
A beauty standing on an octagonal plinth, her feet slightly off-center on a rock-like plinth, in a S-shaped pose with her right leg facing forward.
Judith prepares to approach Holofernes, her hands holding the scimitar behind her back in a gesture that is as precise as it is calm. The long, draped dress slips over her shoulders and ends at the belts around her hips, leaving the young woman bare-breasted. Long wavy hair adorns her shoulders and her serious gaze turns to the right. (1410575) (19)
