The history of Borowski Studio can, in telegraphic shorthand, be put in the words "from a garage workshop to a world-famous brand".
Stanislaw Borowski - the brand's founder, born in 1944 - laid the foundations of today's Borowski manufactory and glassworks more than 40 years ago. The difficult beautiful beginnings took place precisely in the garage, owned by Stanislaw's family, where the artist initially hid with his developing business for fear of unfavorable comments from his parents. As he recalls, his father was afraid that there would be no future and no way to make a good living from something like this. Initially, Stanislaw created his works using almost forgotten techniques of engraving on cameo glass and completely new artistic concepts. In doing so, he used self-made tools. The artist had a clear vision and clearly defined goals, which is why his unusual glass paintings and sculptures became famous quite quickly at exhibitions in Germany - Kassel, Hamburg, Düsseldorf - as well as in the USA, the Netherlands and Japan.
In 1990 Stanislaw Borowski joined forces with his two older sons Paul and Victor to form Glasstudio Borowski. Due to the great success of Borowski's work, the eighth studio in Hennef, Germany, soon proved to be too small. Therefore, in 1992 Stanislaw moved the family headquarters and glass studio to Poland. The new glass manufactory is now home to three artists: Stanislaw, Pawel and Stani Jan.
Today, many of the works of Stanislaw, Pawel and the youngest of the three Borowski brothers, Stani Jan, can be admired in renowned art galleries, private collections and museums, including the Corning Museum of Glass in New York State, which is considered the most important glass museum in the world. In addition, they are developing on an ongoing basis three stylistically incomparable collections presented in small series. These are ART OBJECTS, STUDIO LINE and OUTDOOR OBJECTS. Full of color, life and positive energy, works from these collections can be found all over the world in selected exclusive stores and Borowski Studio's own galleries.
