A superb, yet rare type of medal.
Minted through the efforts of the Polish Emigration Committee for Dydley Coutts Stuart - a British aristocrat, supporter of the Polish independence cause.
Distinguished among Polish medals of the partition period by an exquisitely presented map of pre-partition Poland. Very rich in details and place names. Impressive, especially when you can admire it on such beautifully preserved art.
Signed A. BOVY.
Bronze, diameter 62.5 mm, weight 128.71 g.
