Striking geometric composition from Victor Vasarely's iconic series of op-art works. The colorful ellipses, arranged on a gold background, create the illusion of a convex sphere, which gives the work the illusion of three-dimensionality and the impression of pulsating forms. Collector's piece, from a limited edition signed and numbered by the artist.

Victor Vasarely (b. 1906 in Pécs, d. 1997 in Paris) - French painter and printmaker of Hungarian origin, considered the father of op-art (optical art). He studied in Budapest at a Bauhaus-inspired school and lived in France from 1930. Since the 1950s, he developed a unique visual language based on geometry, color contrasts and the illusion of movement. He created pulsating, hypnotic works, often based on optical illusions and modular grids. His works are in the world's most important museums (MoMA, Centre Pompidou, Tate Modern) and remain icons of the 20th-century avant-garde.
