One of a series of rare medals struck before Poland regained its independence at Wincenty Stefan Wiśniewski’s workshop in Warsaw.
These were medals and badges dedicated to important battles fought by Poles. This one commemorates the 54th anniversary of the January Uprising.
Signed “W,” “WIŚNIEWSK” on the obverse and “WW” on the reverse.
