Eugeniusz Markowski's paintings using collage elements are less common on the auction market than classic canvases, which makes the offered painting particularly interesting from a collector's perspective. The large format emphasizes its display qualities. The composition "Untitled", maintained in the artist's characteristic expressive rhythm, can be read as a figural scene on the verge of abstraction. It is worth noting the strong color accents and deformations in the representation of figures. Man and his emotions in a changing world, remained the main subjects of his painting inquiries. The artist was often accompanied in this process by irony or the grotesque, giving the works an expressive, strong tone.
